The Kingdom of Heaven is like the line of a wave.

Once discovered, the surfer will not rest until that balance and sync that leads to Beauty in its most perfect form is found again.

MAGPIE

My first board ever. Built during the pandemic in the marquise of my home office. The length was determined by what would fit there.

6’8’’ with an almost continuous rocker curve from nose to tail. Continuous curve from nose to tail on the rails. Rounded 60/40 rails on the mid-section transitioning to a sharp rounded pin tail.

Hollow. Plywood frame, Ash skin (it weighs a whopping 8,5kg)

PHW

PARALELLER HULL WANNABE

Displacement Hull inspired by Fantastic Acid’s (Tristan Mausse) description on Displacement Myth Approach.

2 Versions made

v1 | 7’4’’ From a Polyola blank with thin rails. Had an encounter with a shin which busted a large hole on the right rail. Is currently being transformed into a RHW.

v2 | 7’4’’ Hollow. Plywood frame, Paulownia and Ash skin. Constant 50/50 rails. Pronounced belly and vee transitioning to a flat tail. Low tail rocker. The nose may be too low (the plywood frame is too thin and the bottom and deck panels force it to “uncurve”) and so, it has a tendency to pearl. It’s very skittish on take-off but if the rail is engaged very early and it speeds up, it’s a joyful and very maneuverable board. It was badly laminated at first and was leaking. Currently being stripped and re-laminated. May try to raise the nose a bit and will sharpen the tail rails.

RHW

ROUNDED HULL WANNABE

Displacement Hull inspired by Fantastic Acid’s (Tristan Mausse) description on Displacement Myth Approach

2 Versions made

v1 | 7’4’’ From a Polyola blank with thick knifey rails and a very timid belly. Made for my wife Madalena, who likes to take it nice and easy, as a birthday gift. It has a lot of volume to help catch smaller waves but the rounded tail allows for good manouverability.

v2 | 6’8’’ Hollow. Plywood frame, Paulownia and Ash skin, belly/flat bottom, razor sharp nose tip and tail rails, 50/50 smooth rails throughout the rest of the board and a proper S-deck.
